Ward was a born in MonroeLouisianaonApril 151976. Ward attended Monroe Christian School, a Christian private school. She attended Ouachita High School for her secondary education. She then transferred to River Oaks High School after the summer. Following graduation, she briefly was a student at Northeast Louisiana University. Ward dropped out of high school when she was 13 years old to begin modeling. A few years afterward she decided to try acting. Initially, in 1970s she played an uncredited character in All My Children. A couple of years later, she was cast for the NBC premiertime drama for teens Malibu Shores.
